A minute and momentous mergeOf is, was, and will beThe gilded surface of a surgeVeiling eternity
…while dreamers dream and poets trollThe teeming deeps that mockThe pioneer of heart and soulTick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock
The lilt that tuned the nudge that brokeThe shell that held the bow’rThat grew into a mighty oakReclaims glory’s fleet flow’r /hour
Giver and taker synchronizedThe candor of the clockGrants and gathers eons comprisedOf teeny tick and tock
…unfurling a tempest of pearlsSome pray, some shake a fistTick tock, the clock replies, and twirlsTime’s carousel of mist
