But for a Moment This

Faith; the contentment/confidence of hope without proof.Of questions without answers. 2 Cor.4: 16-18Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,  while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. But for a moment this;The troubles of this worldThe sorrow of so much amissOf tears, like seas unfurled Where some treat sin's discourse Living without fear or remorseThat repentance would bring Where disobedienceTo God's holy commands Runs bold while mercy's providenceReplenishes the lands And His unfailing love(though oftentimes mistook)Restores the soul; a picture of While waves of sorrow rollAs graves collect our dustBut for a moment this, my soulFaith's thoroughfare of trust Enough to cry, 'BeholdAssured, as in the days of oldThou, Lord God, wilt provide Janet Martin The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves.
