Unplumbed Knowledge (Too Wonderful For Me)

Inspired by 9Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Psalm 139:6 O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. v.1 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:24 And see if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting. v.23-24 There is no fooling YouLord, you know all our waysWhile we were knitted in the wombYou beheld all our daysWhile we were being wroughtYou knew us every oneBefore a thought became a thoughtBefore a deed was doneYour knowledge hemmed us inBehind, beside, beforeBeneath the shadow of your WingYou keep us evermore Lord, we are fearfullyAnd wonderfully madeYou know the place intimatelyWhere thought and choice are weighedYou search and know each heartNothing is hid from youFor you fashioned our inmost partBefore one breath we drewThen, search where you have searchedLest wicked ways remainLest craftiness of pride is perchedWhere worship is made vain Lord, lead us in the wayOf everlasting lifeShield us from the cunning buffetOf vanity’s vain strifeBut purify our heartsTo praise you more and moreYour goodness and mercy impartsAll we are thirsting forYour thoughts; what preciousnessTo think that they should beOf us, oh, Lord, such knowledge isToo wonderful for me © Janet Martin
