The Light Eyes Cannot See

Ps.36:9For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. Some light we see with our eyes...like the light of daybreak. Some light we see by faith... 'Thou hast put gladness in my heart,...'Ps.4:7 2 Sa.22:29, 31-33 & 47For Thou art my lamp, O LORD,and the LORD will lighten my darkness....31 As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: He is a buckler to all them that trust in Him.32 For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?33 God is my strength and power:and he maketh my way perfect...47 The LORD liveth: and blessed be my rock:and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation You have put gladness in my heartAnd in my sorrow, songFor in the darkness You impartA light, steadfast and strong You try the wants of humankindWith what appears as lossSave till faith's spirit is refinedAnd cheered beneath its cross Either darkness or lightManifests the mien of replyWith cries of faith or sight ...and where darkness appears to veilA way we cannot seeYour Word, a lamp that cannot failThroughout eternity ...instills the seeming dark with lightAnd fills the heart with praiseTo know, to walk by faith, not sightPerfects imperfect ways To know to truly trust, I mustYield all Self would bequeathUntil the gladness of true trustUnveils the Rock beneath Lord, grant within the constant careLife/love is bound to impartA beacon in each tear and prayer;Your gladness in my heart Someday life's troubles will be throughTill then, may each care beA stepping stone that draws me toThe Light eyes cannot see The Light that shines with hope and graceWith love, naught can destroyThe Light of our Saviour's faceTo instill hearts with joy Janet Martin
