The Depth of Man's Depravity (when fear of God has died)

There are no words for the depthof aghast horror, pity, and sorrow we feel overexploitation and applause of gross evil! The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? For this people's heart has grown callous;they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes.Otherwise they might see with their eyes,hear with their ears,understand with their hearts,and turn,and I would heal them.' Rom.1:24-25Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
