1 Cor.13:7-8 Love...bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.Love never fails. Love makes worthwhile and beautiful the oft-not-glamourous And fills each would-be-common-task with sacred happiness... Love, for the Lord our GodOh, may this ever beThe driving force that stays the courseOf faith’s fidelity Love, humble, kind and trueAs earth and heaven meetSelf, sacrificed, the cross of ChristEnough for joy complete Love, transcending time’s tideWhere trouble oft dismaysThough woe assails, love never failsFor God is love always The doctrine faith defendsAnoints love’s altar callAs we embrace the truth and graceFor Christ, love’s all, in all Do not despair, though loveMust suffer many tears/fearsBeneath its pain the sacred gainOf soul’s salvation cheers Then, with Reason renewedUntil the end of daysMay Mercy’s Rose of love composeAn offering of praise ...and fill us with delightIn spite of much amissGod's Spirit of comfort and love Instills us with His kiss Love, the Divine decreeLove, the Redeemer's lawLove, the True Light, faith's pow'r and mightLove, the Believer's Awe © Janet Martin
