Not Only For a Chosen Few -Hallelujah!

This post, though rather solemn,because of its sacred subject, includes a hallelujah chorusthat is bound to bring a smile to your day! 1 Tim.2:1-4First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for everyone—  for kings and all those in authority—so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity.  This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,  who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. ... though bodies die and are returned to dustThe ransomed soul, secure will flyTo He who holds faith's trust (higher than the vees of honking geese that tug at heartstringsas we view their flight from earth's holy ground) Not only for a chosen fewDid God our Savior, giveHis Son to break sin's curse, so throughHis death we all may live...forevermore, though bodies dieAnd are returned to dustThe ransomed soul, secure will flyTo He who holds faith's trust So then, do not lose heart, my friendWhere evil forces wageFor what we see is not the endBut simply sets the stageFor what no mortal can conceiveOf things God has preparedFor all who love Him, and believeThe promises He shared , and praise His nameTrust His word and obeyNo matter what the world may claimIn contrast to God's wayHe is faithful and true; His WordComforts the part we seeTill that which none have seen or heardBecomes reality Not only for a chosen fewBut for all human raceGod sent His Son to save us throughHis blood-bought gift of graceAnd all who believe and confessThat  'He alone is Lord'Are heirs of all the promisesHe tells us in His Word Janet Martin God's Word is not simply for a chosen fewbut for all of fumbling, stumbling humanity!It brings light to darkness,joy to griefhope to heartachefaith to fearHallelujah!! Yes, no matter how fumbling and stumbling,let's keep the hallelujahs rolling! 1 Cor.2:6-10Among the mature, however, we speak a message of wisdom—but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.No, we speak of the mysterious and hidden wisdom of God, which He destined for our glory before time began.None of the rulers of this age understood it.For if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.  Rather, as it is written:“No eye has seen,no ear has heard,no heart has imagined,what God has prepared for those who love Him.”But God has revealed it to us by the Spirit.
