Moments Are Such Momentous Spheres...

It seems like a flicker; of moments that composed three decades 💖We celebrated our second daughter's 30th birthday yesterday.A little late, like most of our birthday celebrations this year! Happy 30th Birthday, Melissa Moments spill-sparkle from a fountWe cannot visualizeLike stars too copious to countThey glint in loved one’s eyes... there's someone 'hidden' in the above photo...guess who??clue in the photo below 😂😂 We missed Victoria who was enjoying a camping weekend with friends💛 Moments are such momentous spheresErecting in their wakeAn ever/echo-world of smiles and tearsFrom loving’s give and takeAnd, looking back from where we standThey steal our breath a bitFor, one moment may not seem grandBut together they fitTo fill a frame shaped like a heartInto a stunning work of art Moments make people grin and groanWhile winnowing life’s flow’rSoul’s promenade of skin and boneTime’s sweep of sun and show’rMelding the pigment of todayWith pictures of the pastAh, soon the place where children playSeems like a shadow, castAcross a sense of rooms bereftOf laughter after guests have left Moments spill-sparkle from a fountWe cannot visualizeLike stars too copious to countThey glint in loved one’s eyesThey melt, like snowflakes on our tongueThey drive the dreams of youthThen startle us, so briefly youngWith time’s incumbent truthAnd as we gaze at their returnThey blaze trails of still much-to-learn …like never passing up the chanceTo live love’s masterpieceLike cherishing the charge God grantsIn each momentous leaseAware of the fleet nature ofGain and loss synchronizedAs moments fill a phantom troveWith treasure barely prizedBefore it bore bittersweet aweFor love and life’s momentous law My dear, before Time disappearsLet’s make the most of loveMoments are such momentous spheresQuite large and small enoughTo unfold opportunityAnd mold and hold replyNo matter what the case may beMoments slip subtly byErecting an eternal wakeOf love’s momentous give and take Futile to entertain regretMy dear, new day is bornA maelstrom of momentous ‘yet’Dazzles the dewy mornCrowning the mist of moments spentWith dawn’s redeeming spreeAnd fresh meter of moments lentTo compose historyLet’s strive to honor He who grantsToday’s moment-ous song and dance © Janet Martin Futile to entertain regretMy dear, new day is bornA maelstrom of momentous ‘yet’Dazzles the dewy morn...
