Each day holds starkly sudden transportsFrom Time into eternity, for… none knows whoBehooving us to consider things we often don’t!Each breath, each hour, each step, each graceDrawing us toward One Universal Certainty.
The other day I read this quote;‘We often say life is short. Enjoy it!It would be better to say,‘Eternity is long. Prepare for it!’
Breath by breath we draw towardThe moment when we meet the LordDear one, tell me, who can affordTo ignore what is certainHour by hour we bide our timeUntil life’s clock is drained of chimeAnd death reveals the mystic climeVeiled by breath’s wafting curtain
Step by step, soul carves its flightTo endless day or endless nightWhere none returns from thence, to citeIts horrors or its wondersGrace by grace, we face todayDear one, fall on your knees and prayFor, in each breath eulogies playAnd eternity thunders
