Because God Is Love
For today's Two-for-Tuesday prompt:Write a love poem, and/or...Write an anti-love poem.
Rom.12:21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Love encounters no burned bridgesFor, love keeps no count of wrongIt does not harbor old grudgesLove forgives and carries on
Love, not overcome by evilOvercomes evil with goodGod is love’s perfect exampleThough often misunderstood
Love is God’s eternal promiseTherefore love can never failBecause God is love and God isEverlasting, love prevails
Love; what miracles are made ofLove, incomprehensibleBecause God is love, thus, with loveNothing is impossible
Simple as a cup of waterGiven in the Father’s nameAwful as a cross that flauntedHate and death; Love overcame
Love leaps, limps, kneels, never faltersLove, always fit for the taskLove’s Author is our HelperAll we need to do is ask
Love inspires mercy's missionsVisions of Heaven replySelf-serving turns to contritionAnswers humbly, 'here am I'
Love can never be defeatedNo matter how hate may tryLove is always greater, rootedIn a Vine that cannot die
Love is our perfect powerLove is our perfect peaceGod is love, thus He is ourConfidence that cannot cease
Love is more than mere acquiescenceAnd adherence to cold lawLove, Indescribable Essence/Presence Fills us with hope, joy and awe
