An Evolving Evaluation (of Evidence)
Today's poem began with a 'blush hush/rush' soon filled with workday noise! Happy workday, everyone! (and my heart/prayers go out to all who wish they could work and can't)I hope today's poem grants a splash of joy and good cheer!
This poem kind of evolved with the dissolving of daybreak...from texts from Young Mother...
...from rumble of industry
from not knowing where to beginto count the ways of Evidence of Him...
all on a backdrop of Mercy's evidence renewed...
Dawn’s blush hush/rush fills with workday noiseNature’s showcase unveils fresh joysThat none can claim with boastful prideWhere colors of the countrysideLike ever-changing works of artAmaze the mind and thrill the heartEvoking a hymn, like a prayerIn praise to One beyond compareWhose ways we cannot comprehendWhose faithfulness will never endWhose Word is trustworthy and trueWhose promises naught can undo
Where, as dawn slips on workday hues/shoesAs industry resumes its duesAnd motherhood its sacred chargeAs dawn unmoors its teeming bargeHow humbly wonderful to knowWhose goodness none can overthrowWhose hope is sure, whose hand will guideFrom break of day to eventideWhere nature’s showcase spills God’s heartIn unparalleled works of artWhere earth and sky declare His nameInviting/compelling us to do the same
A wealth of wonder waits. AhoyNature’s showcase erupts with joyWe hardly know where to beginTo count the frames, we see God inCreation’s cradles stream and brimWith countless evidence of HimMaking more pitiful the clodWho clings to denials of GodMaking meeker all who believeBecause of the grace we receiveMaking gladder the humbler prayerTo He who knows each creature care
