Altar Call or (Of Living, Sacrificed)

Because the dust we stir is far more than a splash of echo-ash...as we dash through numbered days Rom.12:1Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. Rev.14:7He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.” Rom.2:6-8 God “will repay each one according to his deeds.” To those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow wickedness, there will be wrath and anger. The altar upon which we lay love’s living sacrificeBlushes with hush of breaking day... The altar upon which we lay love’s living sacrificeBlushes with hush of breaking day and love’s impending priceWhere it is easy to ignore its uncommanding poseAs we burst through dawn’s gaping door, laden with joys and woes The altar upon which Choice proves who and what we love mostBecause God loves us, pray, behooves us to examine boastWhere dust we stir with hopes and dreams and duty’s beck and callIs far more than a sweep that gleams with season’s rise and fall The altar upon which we place the living proof of loveIs gifted to us by God’s grace who fits us with enoughTo worship Him, with heart and soul (where once this world enticed)He helps us bear the sacred toll of living, sacrificed The altar upon which we live is heaped with word and deedTherefore, we always ought to give its off’ring earnest heedIn light of God’s sacrifice laid upon a cross, and thenTo bow before the Lord who made Heaven and earth.
